Meanwhile Space is a pioneering social enterprise, creating vibrant communities by bringing temporarily redundant space into productive use for the benefit of community cohesion, placemaking and enterprise. And its coming to Manor Park spring 2024!
Wild Beauty opens on Romford Road
February 2023
Congratulations to Mary who opened Wild Beauty salon at the start of the year. Located just between Forest Gate and Manor Park, the salon is Vegan, cruelty-free and uses non-toxic products. Follow on insta and get those appointments booked in to support local!
E12 Garden
June 2022
Following the funding received from Newham’s Community Assemblies scheme, the E12 Garden has enjoyed its first summer following an incredible community-led make over and has a stream of volunteer days and events planned.

Welcome Urban Baristas

Wooohoooo! Urban Baristas has opened in Manor Park Train station. It’s open weekdays and most weekends providing the station is open. Support local and grab a coffee on your way to work or to the flats.
Pop up Market
December 2022
The Manor Park pop up market popped-up a festive get together in December with residents enjoying get together over a mulled wine and cookie, whilst browsing the stools of local businesses, artists, coffee and entrepreneurs.

313 Fitness goals
313 Fitness , located on Romford Road, has used its lockdown time wisely - a major renovation inside and out is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood complete with fuel bar and rooftop outdoor exercise. Expect new machines, a boxing ring, personal training and classes for all at a very reasonable price.
Introducing Dugnad
A taste of Norwegian culture has come to Manor Park in the form of Dugnad - a common practice which sees groups of people come together to perform volunteer tasks that benefit the local community. MPV has had two Dugnad Days so far - the planters in the area are deserved of an award!
£100k wish list!
There’s a budget pot of £100k available as part of the Community Assemblies scheme. Residents have voted for their top three priorities (Greener public spaces; environment and community recycling; sustainable development, nature and biodiversity). All submitted ideas are available to see and vote for here!
Lebanese dream
Cafe 621 has recently opened on the Romford Road. And the lamb swarma is getting rave reviews. We had a sneak peak of the hookah lounge which also looks fab. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to enjoy it soon!
Hello Peri Bros
Peri Bros opened its doors in August 2020. The restaurant has been fitted out really well, it’s a great dine in experience and is available on Just Eat and Uber Eats. We’d recommend the Mariachi Burger.

Booksmart
As a resident of Manor Park village, you can now enjoy this lovely homemade, upcycled community book swap outside number 48 Durham Road. If you’ve got through as many books as we have during Locky-D then there should be a great circulation going.
Newham lockdown window art

Brompton Bike Hire has just arrived (November 2020) situated outside Manor Park station - and its solar powered! Wooohooo.
